This policy describes how Backcountry Harvest Organics handles information associated with this informational website. The website presents information about our farm, products and services. It does not offer an account, online purchase, checkout, payment form or delivery service.
Information you provide
The website has no contact form. If you choose an email link to ask a question, discuss a business partnership or apply for a job, your email service sends us the address and information you include. We use that information to respond and handle the inquiry or application. Please avoid sending sensitive personal or medical information through an ordinary email unless it is necessary for your inquiry.
Age confirmation and technical information
When you confirm that you are of legal age to enter, the website saves a yes/no confirmation in your browser's session storage for that browser session. This website does not ask for a date of birth or government ID through the age screen. You can clear the confirmation by closing the browser session or clearing site data.
Our hosting and delivery providers may process standard technical information needed to serve and secure the website, such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages and request time. Some photographs and media may be delivered by third-party hosts, which receive a request from your browser when those files load. The site does not currently include an advertising pixel or Google Analytics script.
Use and sharing
We use information sent to us to answer inquiries, consider applications, manage business communications, maintain website security and comply with legal obligations. We may use service providers for hosting and email, and disclose information where required or permitted by law. Providers may process information outside Canada, where it can be subject to local law. We do not collect payment card details through this website.
